‘Controlling’ bride slammed after criticising mother-in-law’s ‘white’ dress

An unhappy bride-to-be who hit out at her mother-in-law for the dress she planned to wear to her wedding has been shamed.

The woman explained that her future mother-in-law had sent her a picture of the frock before the big day, but the moment she saw it she was furious.

She shared her frustration to the Facebook group That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming to ask what other people thought of her situation, reported Daily Star.

But she probably didn’t receive the reaction she was expecting as users thought she was in the wrong.

The frock, which has three-quarter length sleeves and was mid-length, had a white slip beneath it and a floral pattern all over the mesh material.

She wrote: “I need advice – my future mother-in-law messaged me last week saying she found her dress for our wedding. IT’S WHITE!

“I sent it to my mum and she thinks because it has florals on that it’s fine and I should just let her wear what she wants to wear.

“But I just don’t feel right with it. I’m not even really wearing white (I’m wearing champagne).”

Before she concluded her post by asking: “Should I just keep my mouth shut?”

Since being posted, the status has received over 250 comments from people criticising the bride, with some labelling her “controlling” and “exhausting”.

One person wrote: “People like this are exhausting. Good grief, let the woman wear the damn floral dress.

“No one is going to confuse her for the bride, it doesn’t look even remotely bridal, and no one actually cares that much.

“I’m guessing this woman is the very definition of demanding and controlling.”

Another added: “That looks like a perfect dress for a mother-in-law. Bride needs to chill.”

A third also agreed: “It’s not bridal in the slightest.”

However, that doesn’t mean that everyone liked her in-law’s dress.

Others called the outfit “ugly” and too casual for a big event such as a wedding.

But what do you think of it?
